VNVWaves is a collection of Windows WAV files for WinAPRS. I was not satisfied with the sound files supplied with WinAPRS, and they were not a complete set, anyway. So, using the descriptions from the Win/MacAPRS documentation, I recorded my own. Since others have expressed an interest in these, I am making them available now. The ZIP file should be extracted with the -d switch if using PKUNZIP, or with "Use folder names" WinZIP. You should extract to the root directory of the drive that contains WinAPRS, which is assumed to be in the \WINAPRS directory. The result will be a directory named \WINAPRS\SOUNDS\MYFILES, which contains the actual wave files. Since WinAPRS expects the sound files to be in \WINAPRS\SOUNDS, you will then have to copy the files up one directory. Why is this? Because SOME of the sound files will be overwritten if you install an upgraded WinAPRS, and this gives you copies in a convenient place to restore them from. Enjoy! de KA9VNV
